Would anyone happen to remember from The Dragon Festival, when during the event you could die if touched by a grasp?

That might provide some insight.

I can confirm that last year's visits did not count as deaths. Hell, I must've missed 15 emotes, but none of them were counted as /deaths.

Heck, I got smashed by a stomper trap in Jokanur diggings on my Paragon and it didn't give me a death. I figure it's probably pretty safe.

Confirmed: They do not count as deaths. I had 992 before I started, and 992 after I finished. I died once.
Also, Furious Pumpkin head for Prophecies and a Witches hat for Nightfall.

So prophecies gets a Pumpkin head? Is it different than last years?

Is it just me, or does ANET really need to work on storage darkness? The witch's hat is hard to see in storage, and I've found some salvagable armor in Nightfall that was COMPLETELY invisible in my inventory.

King killings do not add to your death count.

They add nothing to your DC. But even if they did you could just run in at the time when he finishes the 'Mad King Says' game.

I left my necro afk overnight, he ended up with a pumpkin and no increase to his count. It didn't matter anyway, because when I took my only guy going for survivor in, I didn't miss any of the emotes

Someone from Anet really should confirm this or put a warning on the Halloween info page if deaths do count, as I can see a LOT of people getting really annoyed otherwise.

I agree, losing your title because of a mini-game would really suck.
